Goals
The Homeland Society sees its role as a nexus to bring ideas, connections and people together, to enhance the place we honor and respect, Jelovac. The connections lead to solving economic, legal, social, cultural, educational and other needs.
- Advocating for development and implementation of programs in agriculture, health, social policy, information, culture, human rights, gender equality, crime and violence prevention and environmental protection.
- Working to improve commutations between Government, cities, and private agencies to access resources available. To find assistance to those in need, to cooperate on projects to improve local roads, low voltage transmission systems, water supply systems, and telephone networks. To find support for memorial gatherings including Breakthrough on Patrija 1942, Day of Remembrance of murdered and killed children in the independent state of Croatia during WW2 and others.
- Find support for people with disabilities.
- Support and preserve the traditional cultural heritage through gatherings, learning and celebrating the long connection to this land. Organize book promotions, musical and theatre performances, film screenings, seminars, conferences, tribunes and art exhibits (paintings, photographs, handicrafts); preparing, editing and publishing own books.
- Join with other organizations in the country and elsewhere to support, promote and encourage the recognition of female equality, freedom of opinion, democracy, preservation of family and improvement in health and quality of life.
