Mission
Our mission defines who we are, what we do, and why we exist. It reflects our commitment to building a stronger community through connection, inclusion, and cultural preservation.
The Homeland Society’s mission is to serve and support the people of Jelovac and the broader community by encouraging unity, nurturing belonging, and promoting well-being through solidarity among individuals of all generations, based on voluntary work.
We fulfill our mission by:
- Supporting the culture of remembrance and memory of significant dates, events, and figures from the liberation
wars of XX century; preserving traditional heritage through artistic and educational events.
- Encouraging cooperation and solidarity among members, partners, and supporter.
- Organizing book promotions, musical and theatrical performances, film screenings, exhibitions,
and artistic gatherings that celebrate identity and memory.
The mission continually evolves by asking:
- What meaningful actions are we taking?
- What values guide our path?
- How do we relate to members, contributors, and supporters?
- What long-term role do we envision for the Society in the community?
